For this month’s Sista Sista, Micro Rainbow are heading over to the South London Gallery for a tour of the incredible exhibition ‘Acts of Resistance: Photography, Feminisms and the Art of Protest’. 

Acts of Resistance seeks to decolonise feminism, showing multiple perspectives from women-led protest movements across the globe. It shows photography’s value as a powerful tool of protest – fast and free to distribute, accessible anywhere, and able to reach a global audience no matter what language they speak. 

Following a tour of the exhibition, we will come together to discuss what we have seen and our responses to it.

Please note, Sista Sista is only open to LBTQI asylum seekers and refugees who identify as women.
