We have an exciting six-week online programme starting on Thursday 4th April from 4:00-5:30 pm.

Hosted by law firm DLA Piper, the Know Your Rights Education Programme is an empowering project that will expand your knowledge of UK legal rights and facilitate networking. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your rights in the UK and connect with other asylum seekers and refugees. You will have the chance to interact with DLA Piper lawyers, who will help increase your understanding of some key legal issues, including:

Legal system and human rights laws; housing law; healthcare and access to NHS; employment law; cyber security; and entrepreneurship and setting up a business in the UK.

This first session will focus on human rights laws.

The programme is made up of six sessions. It will take place online every Thursday 4-5.30pm, beginning on 4 April and ending on 9 May. If you sign up, you are expected to attend all six of the sessions, as each session focuses on a different aspect of legal rights. At the end of the programme, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Download the information flyer here.
