Dance Your Freedom is an opportunity to express your celebration of you! Facilitators Cêt and Poppy warmly invite you to take part in Micro Rainbow’s creative project by creating a movement performance that will include afro dance, contemporary dance, colourful scarves and your fabulous selves.
What does it involve?
- Two days exploring movement together and sharing the joy of our being through dance. We will warm up, move through creative tasks, play and improvise together and individually. By moving together we aim to connect to ourselves, our stories, our bodies, minds and each other in a safe and welcoming environment.
- We will also be joined by an Afrobeats expert for one of the sessions, to learn, share and create movement. This is a fantastic opportunity to grove together with joyful movement and great music.
- There will be an optional opportunity to perform and share our creative work together on the evening of Tuesday 18th June at Micro Rainbow’s Exhibition launch in The Norwegian Church, Cardiff Bay.
- Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
What do you need?
- Bring yourselves as you are and any ideas that spring to mind as we explore creatively.
- No previous dance experience required.
