2026 has seen Micro Rainbow again recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 social enterprises in the NatWest SE100 Index 2026. 2026 marks the sixth year in a row that Micro Rainbow has been included, and it underlines the crucial value of our work supporting LGBTQI people fleeing persecution.
In 2026, Micro Rainbow was also nominated in two categories in the NatWest SE100 Awards: the Social Investment Pioneer, and Social Business Pioneer categories. We were highly commended in both categories.
We are also very proud to announce that Micro Rainbow’s founder and CEO, Sebastian Rocca, was included in the inagural Pioneers100 – a list of the 100 most pioneering impact leaders in the UK. The NatWest SE100 Index – which Micro Rainbow has been included in for the sixth time – recognises the UK’s top 100 social ventures, but this brand new list highlights the leaders who are driving them.
The NatWest SE100 Index was devised in 2010 by Pioneers Post and NatWest to recognise and reward the leading 100 social enterprises across the UK each year. It is an honour to be included in the list in 2026.
The Top 100 are judged on a wide range of criteria – from the growth and sustainability of their businesses to the innovation and resilience they have demonstrated and the social impact they have delivered.
Micro Rainbow supports hundreds of LGBTQI people fleeing persecution every year. We do so by implementing a holistic approach to integration that has three main pillars: the provision of safe housing, social inclusion activities and employability support.
Sebastian Rocca, Founder and CEO of Micro Rainbow said:
"Being named as one of the Top 100 social enterprises again is a tremendous honour and a testament to the incredible dedication of the Micro Rainbow team. In 2025, we supported nearly 1000 LGBTQI people fleeing persecution, offering them safety, dignity, and hope. At a time when the discourse around refugees and LGBTQI communities is upsetting and disheartening, this recognition reminds us that compassion and solidarity still define the majority. Even in these trying times, we will not waver in our commitment to supporting as many LGBTQI people fleeing persecution as possible. I’m incredibly proud that Micro Rainbow continues to lead with innovation and impact, transforming lives and proving the power of social enterprise to drive real, lasting change”.
