Asylum support meeting – In person, London

15 January @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

Micro Rainbow is restarting the asylum support meetings. These will take place once a month. This session is in person.

The advice will be general, and the lawyers will not be able to give individuals advice specific to their cases. The lawyers at the session are not there to take you on as clients at their firms

At the meeting, lawyers who specialise in asylum law will give a presentation. The purpose of the presentation is to inform asylum seekers, or those who are thinking of applying for refugee status, of the basis of refugee law for LGBTQI claimants. The sessions will cover pre-decision matters; how to prepare your asylum claim until you get a first decision. The lawyers will explain the asylum process, what you can expect and how best to prepare.

You will be able to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Please keep your questions general so that everyone can benefit.

Places for in person sessions are limited. Please email [email protected] to register.

You will need to be an existing beneficiary of our social inclusion programme to join this session. If you are new to our programmes, contact [email protected] to find out more about attending an induction for new joiners.

If you have any accessibility requirements you want us to be aware of, please include this in your email to us.
